About Me
Making magic out of the mundane
Hi there, I'm Hailie!
Just a thirty-two-year-old who loves tattoos, dogs, crystals, and writing steamy romance!
I’ve been telling stories for as long as I can remember. From the time I was little, I've been creating worlds and characters and creatures. Story-telling always has and always will be in my soul. Growing up, most of my work fell under the fantasy/paranormal realm, but in the last year, I've taken the plunge into contemporary romance as well, entering my cowboy romance era! I never thought I would love a genre so much, but one of my favorite things is adding magic to the mundane, creating a story that is so gripping and raw and exciting and magical that it gives all the out of this world, romantic vibes in a contemporary real life setting.
When I'm not writing, I'm working as a competitive gymnastics coach. I also run a bookish podcast, though it is currently on hiatus until I rebrand and tweak some things. But my favorite job of all would hands down be wrangling my adorable little monsters...aka my children.
I have a kind, handsome, little dude and a sassy little girl. My super awesome writer husband and I also have three dogs that love causing trouble and giving wet, slobbery kisses.
Some fun facts about me:
-
I am a beauty school drop out. No, seriously, I am. I was nearly halfway through with my certification, but I injured myself (one of the lovely perks about being a clutz and having a chronic nerve disease that causes my nerves to be hyper-sensitive...yayyy, so much fun) and ended up having to quit school because I needed to have multiple surgeries in the course of that year.
-
On the topic of surgeries, I've had twenty-one. Yep, TWENTY-ONE! basically, anytime I go to a new doctor and have to fill out the previous surgeries form, I need to ask for another paper. It's THAT obnoxious.
-
Oh, and I spent about twelve years working as a dog bather and groomer. I've worked with all sorts of breeds. From tiny chihuahuas to wolves...yes, you read that right, WOLVES!
Anywho...that's a little (a lot) about me!
